Foals  2010/11.

Miniatures....

All our foals have arrived. Very happy with our little herd.

(check out the bottom of the page for our STUNNING Welsh Colt!!)

Lulu, Cherry and Tango :)

Willoughby Park Tango in the Night

Palomino Colt with bluey green eyes.
B.H. 24" D.O.B. 3/10/10.

Sire:  SC Caspers Lord of the Dance (silver smokey black)
Dam: Gold Dust Toffee Apple

Pet Name: Tango

We knew this would be a lovely cross with River and Toffee, and were not disappointed. Tango is a lovely refined colt with beautiful length of neck and leg, and a compact little barrel. He is an extremely hairy little baby, so will be nice when we can clip him up.

Tango has the most awesome floating movement and is a real mummys boy.

Tango has been sold to a loving family in Brisbane.

Introducing....

Willoughby Park Mystery Solved.

Our pretty blue eyed baby girl.

Chestnut overo filly with two blue eyes and a sock.
B.H. 23" D.O.B. 27/8/10.

Sire:  Buraba DB Colour My World (chestnut overo)
Dam:  Silver Star Miss Mysterious.

Pet Name: Cherry.

We bought Missy back in December, and had NO idea when she was due to foal... After 8 long months we were finally rewarded with this beautiful blue eyed girl. Cherry is everything we could have imagined and is so fine and delicate under her winter woolies. She has her daddy's pretty face but her beautiful mothers fine features. This was a magic cross!

Cherry has wonderful bloodlines on both sides, being the grand-daughter of our old stallion Sami's Kloudy Rowdy (imp usa/exp nz) and carrying the lines of La Vista Rowdy's Remark, Del Teras Paycheck and Trios Night Rider.

Sold, to the Sheridan Family.... Cherry is going with Lulu to live on a farm on the Darling Downs, where they will have the loving family they both deserve.

16/6/10 - Sadly Angel was found with an aborted black/bay minimal overo filly. What a stunning little foal she would have been.
Angel was 255 days along and was having a wonderful pregnancy when this horrible disaster happened. We are putting it down to hairy caterpillars. We are now watching our other pregnant mares extremely carefully.

3/7/10- After 3 weeks of Regumate and antibiotics, to stop abortion with Rosie, she had a red bag delivery and a very tough labour. We got her to 290 days, the filly survived, but only lived 16 hours. This was so incredibly heartbreaking. The filly was the same magnicent type as her beautiful half sister Hopes & Dreams, but was chestnut with four white stockings up to the knees and a couple of little minimal markings on her body. Absolutely stunning.... To lose both these beautiful fillies so early is yet another kick in the guts to our breeding program.

Sadly we have lost our only Arrow foals due, but thankfully our friends Katie and Kurt at Flutterby Stud have 2 more due.

Pet Name: Bruiser.

Sire: Alcheringa Paris (Buckskin)
Dam: Kenda Park Lollipop.( Chestnut Roan)

Well after what seemed like an eternity, our first Welsh foal was here. I was desperately hoping for a filly, but after seeing how magnificent this little man was, I really got over that so quickly. I was just so rapt that the cross between Lollipop and Paris had been such a perfect one.

There was some major concern for the first week of little Bruisers life, he had very limited sight. It turns out it was due to the pressure from a very tight fit. His birth caused bruising on his corneal nerve. Thankfully this settled after about a week and he was good as new. He became known as Bruiser as he was SOOOOO tiny born but full of "punch" and was up and at 'em, but sadly running into the stable walls constantly plus bruising one eye. It just sort of stuck.....

We are very excited about the show career ahead of this young man, and think he will do us and his Sires owners proud!!
